Upon an Earthquake ALERT:

¨      Be ready to act on a moment’s notice.

Upon an Earthquake WARNING:

¨      Follow the instructions provided by the emergency personnel of your building.

¨      If advised to evacuate, do so immediately.

If You are Indoors:

¨      Stay away from glass, windows, shelves, heavy equipment and walls.

¨      Drop down onto your hands and knees.

¨      Cover your head and neck under a sturdy table (if no such shelter available, be near an interior wall on your hand and knees covering your head and neck).

¨      Hold on to your shelter until the shaking stops.

¨      Be prepared to move with your shelter if the shaking shifts it around.

¨      Do not run outside or to other rooms during shaking.

¨      Do not stand in a doorway.

¨      Do not jump out of the building.

¨      Expect aftershocks.
